Course Overview

Master the tools and techniques to evaluate and apply project management skills in the Trust and Safety environment.

This programme is aimed at trust and safety or content moderation professionals who wish to develop sector-specific management skills. In particular, learners focus on data analytics and measurement tools to optimise performance under the pressures of multiple projects and deadlines.

Course Details

This programme consists of a single module, worth 10ECTS credits, taught over two semesters.

Course Module

This module equips learners with the necessary tools and techniques to critically evaluate and apply project management in digital platform-based companies. Learners focus on best practice theories and industry case studies to gain an understanding of how to best perform under the pressure of multiple projects and deadlines. The module also explores multiple tools for managing day-to-day operations, from project management to data visualisation tools used for business intelligence.

How to Apply

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to hold a minimum of an honours (NFQ level 8) primary degree with a 2.2 award, or equivalent. To facilitate the diversity of workers in the area, who range from Level 8 graduates in communications, languages, psychology and business studies, entry to the programme is for non-cognate NFQ level 8 qualification holders. It is expected that applicants for the Certificate in Applied Project Management for Trust and Safety Professionals would be working in the broad online trust, safety and content moderation environment.

General Fee Information 

An Academic Administration Fee of €250 is payable each September at the start of term. For students starting in the January/February term, €125 is payable in February, and then €250 will be payable each September from then onwards. 

A 2% Learner Protection Charge is applicable each academic year in addition to the fees quoted. The fees below relate to Year 1 fees only.

2% Learner Protection Charge

All QQI accredited programmes of education and training of 3 months or longer duration are covered by arrangements under section 65 (4) of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012 whereby, in the event of the provider ceasing to provide the programme for any reason, enrolled learners may transfer to a similar programme at another provider, or, in the event that this is not practicable, the fees most recently paid will be refunded.
