Griffith’s Business faculty offers a large variety of courses including:

 

Q. How many points do I need in the Leaving Cert to gain access?

In 2021, the points required were:

  • BA (Hons) in Business Studies - 228
  • BA (Hons) in Business Studies (Marketing) - 176
  • BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance - 242
  • BA in Business - 180
  • BA in Marketing - 122

In terms of grades, a minimum of two H5's and four O6's/H7's with a pass in Maths were required for Level 8 courses. For Level 7 courses students must have achieved one H5 and five O6's/H7's with a pass in Maths.

Q. What are the facilities like?

It may come as a surprise to many that Griffith College Dublin is a seven-acre campus. The size of our campus and the engagement of the students offer a real campus atmosphere as a private institution. In addition, we have two accommodation blocks on campus that can hold over 650 students. The Student Union is a popular place amongst students, as the building holds a games room, student kitchen and function room. They run numerous clubs, societies, and events for students throughout the academic year. It’s a really exciting and multicultural vibe on campus and is only a stone's throw away from Dublin’s party scene on Harcourt Street. We are also surrounded by some really cool cafes and bars where one can purchase the finest coffee and craft beers available.

Q. Is there level 7 or 8 entry?

Yes, we offer both Level 7 and Level 8 business courses.

Q. Can students’ progress from level 7 to level 8 on these courses?

Yes, we have built our Level 7 courses to function as direct pathways into Level 8. It only takes one additional year to achieve a Level 8 degree!

Q. Can I study any of these courses part-time?

The following courses are available part-time:

Q. What is the cost of these courses?

EU Living in Ireland (only) 2021/2022 – reviewed annually, subject to change.

The following full-time courses are on a reduced fee scheme for September 2021 (5650 per year):

Q. Is Griffith College a University?

Griffith College is not a university, but it is the second largest private third-level college in the country. Universities are public institutions and have been granted delegated authority to create their own awards. Universities and Institutes of Technology receive funding from the government towards their running. Private institutions are self-funded and as such students attending must pay tuition fees.

Q. Do you accept the SUSI grant?

Unfortunately, no, as a private institution students attending Griffith College are not entitled to the SUSI grant. Students must pay tuition fees. We have a payment plan which helps students pay for their fees monthly. Students are also entitled to claim up to 20% tax back on the tuition fees paid.
