Griffith College students making the cut in the Irish Fashion Industry

Dublin, 16^th of August, 2011: Over the past few months, Griffith Fashion students have been making the headlines, namely in top magazines such as Social and Personal, Image magazine and not to mention the national and regional newspapers around the country. Here at Griffith we would like to say congratulations to Yvette Byrne who captured press attention after scooping the Best Dressed Lady competition at the recent Dublin horseshow. Yvette galloped away with a prize of €10,000 along with the opportunity to go over to California. The talented fashionista designed her own Victorian-styled outfit herself and knocked the judges for six.

In a competitive environment, we are delighted that students such as Yvette are making strides into a successful career in the Irish Fashion Industry.

We would also like to say Congratulations to Jessica Fung Lou, who was a runner up in the recent Gillette Dress of your Dreams competition. Fashion design students were tasked with choosing from three of the latest Gillette Venus razors and creating a show stopping dress that Gillette Ambassador, Jennifer Lopez might wear.

We look forward to hearing more from these young fashionistas in the future.
