Griffith College at the Irish Law Awards
The Law Faculty at Griffith College was delighted to be shortlisted in the Law School of the Year category at the inaugural Irish Law Awards ceremony which took place in the Shelbourne Hotel on Friday 4th May.
The only private college in the category, the Law School has a wide portfolio of academic law courses such as the LLM, LLB, BA in Business and Law and Diploma in Legal Studies and Practice( old IILEX programme), as well as running two courses preparing students for entry examinations for both the King's Inns and Law Society (Fe1s).
To date, over 2,000 students have graduates with law degrees from the Law School since its inception and a further 7,000 have undertaken legal professional exam preparation courses in the Faculty.
Law Librarian for national award
Congratulations to Robert McKenna , Griffith College's very own Law Librarian who was shortlisted in the Law Librarian of the Year category at the inaugural Irish Law Awards ceremony which took place in the Shelbourne Hotel on Friday 4th May.
His appearance on the shortlist recognises the work that Robert has done in assisting students across the Law Faculty's academic law courses such as the LLM, LLB, BA in Business and Law and Diploma in Legal Studies and Practice (old IILEX programme), as well as his endeavours in assisting professional law students undertaking the Faculty's two courses which prepare students for entry examinations for both the King's Inns and Law Society (Fe1s).
President of IILEX wins Legal Executive of the Year Award (Pictured)
The Law Faculty at Griffith College wishes to send its warmest congratulations to Veronica Duffy, President of IILEX, the Irish Institute of Legal Executives, on winning the first award, namely Legal Executive of the Year, at the first Irish Law Awards ceremony which took place in the Shelbourne Hotel on Friday 4th May.
Veronica has worked closely in the recent past with Griffith College in developing its Diploma in Legal Studies and Practice and IILEX and the Law Faculty continue to enjoy a close professional relationship.
Also nominated in the Lifetime Achievement Award was Frank Crummey, co-founder of IILEX.
