Where are you located?
Griffith College Dublin is located on the South Circular Road, it is about a 20 minute walk to Dublin city centre and 10 minutes to the Luas, Dublin’s new tram service. There is also a regular bus service to and from the city centre.
How do I get there from the airport?
You can take a Taxi, which will cost you about €25 - €30. There is the Bus number 16a which brings you very close to the College and there are public buses to the City centre. Once in the City Centre, you can transfer to another bus or a taxi. The College also provides a collection service for a fee of €80.
What services and facilities do you have?
Griffith College has many services and facilities for students to use, including student accommodation, a dedicated Student Union building, with pool tables and table tennis free to use. There is a fitness room, a restaurant, computer laboratories and a library Check out the website section ‘Why Choose Griffith Institute of Language?’
I would prefer to stay in a host family do you offer this service?
Absolutely, just indicate on your application form your preferred accommodation requirements and we will do our best to meet your needs.
What qualifications do the teachers have?
All our teachers are qualified with at least a degree and approved teaching certificates; in addition we have a policy of employing those with more experience and higher levels of qualifications. We also support those who want to gain further qualifications through staff development.Do I pay extra for books?
No, the price you pay is inclusive of all materials received, longer term (over 8 weeks) you will get to keep the course books you are given.Is there a registration fee?
No, the fee you pay includes your registration fee.
If I think the class is the wrong level, can I change?
If you feel that the class is the wrong level, speak to your teacher and the Head of English if they agree with you then you can move to a different level. Remember we want the best for you.Who will be in my class?
You will have a variety of nationalities in your class, from Europe, Asia and South America, the ages will vary from 18 up to 34 and there will be a mix of male and female.How many students will be in my class?
There will be no more than 15 students in a class and typically there is 10 – 12.Will my Classes be in the Morning or the Afternoon?
