Griffith College Students Take First Place in Ireland in FE1 Examinations
Patrick O'Connor Memorial Prize awarded to Sinead Kenny
The Law Society of Ireland has awarded Griffith College students, Sinead Kenny, Elizabeth Healy, Pauline O'Hara and Amanda Collins first place in Ireland in the FE-1 Equity, Criminal, Law of Torts and Contract Law exams respectively. Sinead was also awarded the honour of the Patrick O'Connor Memorial Prize for obtaining the highest overall mark of the students who completed the examinations.
All prize winners from the College this year are students of the FE1 programme online, and their outstanding results coincide with the launch of Griffith College's new iPad support technology.
Launched in 2008, the online course allows students to access lectures and tuition wherever they have broadband, and has a proven track record with six students of the course over the past number of years taking first place in the FE1 examinations for the Law Society. Already fully compatible with android phones and other devices, video content for the successful online preparatory course is now also supported by the iPad.

Ronan Fenelon, director of law at Griffith College, said; "We are delighted to once again see such fantastic results from our law students. The results are a credit to the hard work of the students and lecturers at Griffith College."
"I would like to also take the opportunity to congratulate the lecturers and IT department for their forward thinking in developing this ground breaking technology to support the long distance learning platform; I have no doubt that this support for the iPad will certainly aid future students in preparing for the FE1 exams", he concluded.
