This programme will provide learners with the appropriate skills and knowledge essential for effective management within a business environment. It explores the relationship between an organisation's strategy, its culture, marketing and communications policies and procedures along with including the financial management of a business environment. The structure of the programme ensures that participants are able to develop their academic knowledge and practical management skills. This programme, which is divided into four modules, is designed to provide a practical grounding in the skills of management.

Learners will be introduced to the main management theories, and these will provide a conceptual and practical platform for participant learning. Learners will furthermore be encouraged to draw on their own experience as this will help them to develop a clearer understanding of the management modules.

On completion of the Diploma in Business Management, participants are recommended to continue their studies by applying for our http://www.gcd.ie/babs/ BA (Hons) in Business Studies Level 8 degree programme either full or part time.  The Diploma programme has been designed in that all three modules are part of the BA in Business Studies and participants who successfully complete and pass assignments and examinations will also be exempted from the equivalent subjects on the BA in Business Studies course.

To apply you can simply complete the registration form and return back to us before the course commences, if you are applying to the college as a mature student (over 23) you will be offered a place on the course based on your maturity. If you are under 23 you will need to send me a copy of your leaving cert results with your application form.
