Positive Psychology is an array of scientific research focused on positive aspects of human functioning. It is a systematic approach to uncovering individual’s strengths, helping people maximise their potential and ultimately thrive in both good and adverse situations.

In recent times Positive Psychology is particularly relevant in a work environment. With the recession unfolding, many employees find it difficult to overcome their fear of redundancies and perform at the maximum level for a prolonged period of time. Therefore, it is to the employers’ advantage to ensure they are able to adequately manage their employees’ expectations, create a more positive environment at work fostering high performance and finally ensure employee engagement at all levels of the organisation.

This course will improve the student‘s ability to listen and appreciate the supports required in these areas. It will also provide the student with a concrete foundation for further studies in this area.

To apply you can simply complete the registration form and return back to us before the course commences, if you are applying to the college as a mature student (over 23) you will be offered a place on the course based on your maturity. If you are under 23 you will need to send me a copy of your leaving cert results with your application form.
