Author: Alan Leech, originally from Drogheda, Co. Louth performed today (Monday, 23rd May 2011) at a concert held for US President Barack Obama and the First Lady Michelle at College Green in Dublin City.
Alan is a lecturer with the Leinster School of Music and Drama at Griffith College’s Music Academy and a full time singer with the National Chamber Choir of Ireland. He sang “Danny Boy” to the tens of thousands gathered for the celebration of Obama’s visit. Read the rest of this entry »

The Leinster School of Music & Drama is happy to continue it’s involvement with the Feis Ceoil Music Festival being held in Dublin from the 4-15th April. The LSMD offer the Arthur Darley Memorial Prize under the Senior Solo Strings category and is a competition for unaccompanied Violin or Viola played from memory.
