ACCA WITH GRIFFITH COLLEGE
ACCA is The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
The School of Professional Accountancy offers the ACCA Professional Course on a mainly Part-Time basis for all Papers and for certain Papers on a Full Time basis.
There are 16 Papers in all, 14 of which have to be completed, 2 of which are optional.
Some students will have exemptions from certain papers, depending upon what degree, etc., they may hold. This can be checked from the ACCA website
www.accaglobal.com
link: http://www.accaglobal.com/join/exemptions/
but then needs to be confirmed with ACCA directly.
Within Griffith College, for the Part-Time Courses, classes consist of one evening per paper per week. There will also be the odd weekend day class for some papers (not every weekend) but maybe once or twice during the term. These will be listed on the timetable.
Students can take a minimum of one paper per term or a maximum of four papers per term. We would never recommend that students take the maximum of four as this would mean attending the College four evenings per week and also some weekend attendance. The ACCA course takes places twice per year: February to June
August to DecemberFor the June examinations
For the December examinationsOn average, students might enrol for two to three papers per term.
