Griffith College Dublin's Seán O'Quigley wins individual prize at the 2010 Irish Times Debating Competition.
On behalf of the law faculty in Griffith College we are delighted to announce that Sean O’Quigley, an LLB final year student has won the Christina Murphy Memorial Trophy, at the 50th Irish Times Debate at the HELIX in DCU.
Sean will follow on from some previous winners as; Adrian Hardiman, Supreme Court Judge, Eugene McCague, Chairman , Arthur Cox, Solicitors and Mary Harney TD.
This is another first for Griffith! Sean won against eleven others from five universities. This amazing win comes after Claire Michelle Smith and Barry Vickers won the 2009 International Moot competition and represented Griffith in December in the World Debating Competition in Turkey.
Many fellow students supported Sean along with faculty members on Friday 19th February 2010, Sean O Quigley ( 3rd year LLB PT) did Griffith College proud by winning the individual category of the 50th Irish Times Debate at the HELIX in DCU. We are all very proud of Seans achievement and on behalf of the Law Faculty here at Griffith College Dublin, congratulations again to Sean and the very best of luck to him in his future career.
